Trading the Dust Gold for One Repented Soul

Scars disappearing, gold dust, angel’s feather, laughter, angels singing, the fat getting thinner, the thinner getting fat. You name it. Lately,
we have seen so many signs among us, but be honest with you few change. That's why this kind of thing doesn't impress me anymore!
Sorry.
Deep inside of me there is a great insatisfaction. I don’t know about you, I’m so tired of seeing people going to great revival meeting and
get all the signs, wonders and miracles that they can get, but nothing really change inside of them. They shout glory, they clap their
hands, they even cry, but when the meeting is over, they go back to where they were before. Something is wrong here. I'm looking for
something like Acts 2:41 "Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number
that day."
So, let's think about what kind of message we are preaching today! I’ve heard so many preachers teaching us – ministers – that we just
need to preach about “faith”, “miracles”, “glory” then people’s faith will be raised and the manifestation will come through signs, wonders
and miracles. That’s truly truth. You will get what you preach. But I was wondering: what if we try something different? How about if we try
to preach about “repentance"? Guess what? We will get some repented souls in our congregation.
But today we just preach what people want and people love to see wonders. What is happening now it’s not new. Check the passage in
Matthews 12:38-41: multitude of people was following Jesus. They were marvelous with the signs and they ask Jesus one more:
“One day some of the Jewish leaders including some Pharisees, came to Jesus asking him to show them a miracle. “
“But Jesus replied, “only an evil faithless nation would ask for further proof; and none will be given except what happened to Jonah
the prophet! “
“…For when Jonah preached to them, they repented and turned to God from all their evil ways.”
“and now a greater Jonah is here – and you refuse to believe him.”
If we look for the manifestation with the kind of signs and wonder that we see today, the great manifestation is Jonah survived for days in
a belly of that huge fish. If you look for the manifestation with the kind of signs that are really remarkable in God’s eyes, you will see that
Nineveh , that sinful city repented and was saved from destruction! I believed that Jesus was pointing to that kind of manifestation: a
whole city repented!
Even Satan was asking Jesus for a sign, in Matt 4. He asked Him to change stones into loaves of bread, to jump off the roof of the
Temple so God would send angels to keep him from harm. But Jesus gave him another sign…After the desert, He went on and begun to
preach: “repent, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Every time that Jesus performed a miracle that miracle was followed with a soul truly converted to God. I’m not against signs, wonders,
miracles and it’s in the Bible that they will follow us, those who believe in Him according to Mark 16:15-22.And the signs are for the
unbelievers, so they can start believing in that Jesus is the Son of God and repent and turn their lives to God. We are not to go after the
signs or to use them to pack conferences, or to build our own ministry, or to raise money to our project, or to lay our faith on, but to bring
people to repentance!
We are missing the point, precious people of God! Even satan can bring you a sign if this is what you look for. Matthews 24:24 “For false
Christ shall arise, and false prophets, and will do wonderful miracles, so that if it were possible, even God’s chosen ones would de
deceived.”
I boldly say if the sign that you are seeing around has not bring people to truly repentance, watch out. The one who send it can be satan
himself. Again, I’m not saying that every manifestation is from the devil or is not from God. Also I’m not saying that I don’t believe on them.
I’m saying we need to be careful to not receive everything that comes to us and to test the spirit and check on the fruits. The fruits must be
worthy of repentance.
My husband and I would trade a jacket full of dusty gold, a mouth full of gold teeth, 40 pounds of lost weight to see one, one single man
truly repenting and turning his whole life to Jesus Christ, as one Lord and the only one savior. Brothers, let us seek the sign we have
never seen in your lifetime before: three thousand of people saved (truly) in one day just like happened in the book of Acts. That’s the
sign, wonder and miracle that I’m deeply seeking for: the greatest of all.
