Burn It Down

This Super-Duper Christian Character that we put it on must be burned down. Many people are lacking deliverance because they are presenting God with this person that they are not: A person that they have created in their own mind. Striving to please God with a person that they are striving to be but God is not pleased. Putting an extra yoke and burden on themselves that the Holy Spirit isn’t even putting on them. We’re not even really talking about the Pharisees here, even though these types of people can become Pharisees at heart. I’m talking about regular good intending Christians. This word can be for anyone and everyone. At one point or another, we all have tried to walk in this stature that we have not gotten to yet.

Sometimes, because we despise the process or get tired of the process, we throw on a smile and a little self-control and try to please God. We throw in some extra bible reading, listen to worship music more, go to church and even sing on the worship team. Though, none of this pleases God, if you are trying to use it as a sacrifice to Him. When we try to walk in a grace or a level of holiness that we are not at yet, we become religious. Before we reach any level in the kingdom, there is a level our mind and heart must reach to be able to bear the next level of deepness in Him. And this is what prevents us from going deep in Him, our propping up of this Christian character that we try to be. Whatever it looks like for you, it needs to die; because it’s keeping you in a merry-go-round and a ditch. You’re walking in the flesh, thinking you’re going to higher levels. Meanwhile, God is just watching you go in circles, looking like you won the lottery because you’re so high on your performance, but all God sees is pride and blindness.

We try to be the one that loves the most, the one that has a lot of peace, the one that is the most spiritual. Though God says none of this is spiritual. It’s artificial. It looks like Me, and it tries to act like Me, but it’s not Me! Because I’m not like anything that you can create in your carnal mind! When you know what I look like, it’s because I have revealed it to you. It’s because you have been around me, and I have rubbed off on you. I have become flesh in you! Besides My revelation, you could never dream up what I look like or what I act like. Nor can you discern Me without My revealing, says the Lord!

When we walk in the true character of the Sons of God, it’s not a striving thing. It’s not a push or a hard-pressed thing to maintain. It’s natural, because the Word has become living in you on its own. You naturally walk in self-control without even trying. A situation arises that you would usually get mad at, and you can’t even find anger because it has departed from within you. That’s the levels we need to get to. Not where we are angry or struggling with anger on the inside and able to control it from showing on the outside. God is trying to bring us to where it’s cleared out from both inside and out!

Jesus told the Pharisees, you like to clean the outside of the cup, but you can’t even clean the inside. In other words, you seem so nice and clean and holy on the outside, but inside you are as dirty as Sodom and Gomorrah! We have so many Christians today that do this: They clean the outside of the cup. Yet all those feelings and thoughts are still on the inside. Jesus said if you even look on a woman with lust, you have already committed adultery! If you hate your brother, you have already committed murder! So, we need to stop relying on our own righteousness, because then we come to a point where we start judging people based off our false character. If your so-called character that you have created, that you think looks like righteousness, is what you’re living by, you are not living by the righteousness of God! The Righteousness of God is obedience to the Holy Spirit!

We get so wrapped up in trying to do this, not do that, touch not, taste not. We must realize what we are doing here when we do this. Now all our mind is on is ourselves! Now we have become idolatress of ourselves! Worshiping ourselves because of our great Christian performance and character, all in the name of Jesus! Now we are living by the knowledge of good and evil again. We need to live by the knowledge of the Spirit and the Spirit only. Or else we will have no life; The Spirit of God is the tree of life! He is where the garden experience is! Those who want to obey God will not walk against Him. The righteousness of God is nothing like human morals and logic. It is joy and peace in the Holy Spirit!

We need to get a clue, or else we will deny Him. Many Christians carry an anti-spirit because they imagine God a certain way and they try to imitate that way, but God says many Christs will rise up but there’s only one and He is not known by this world. He is not known by your carnal mind. We need to lose this Christ that we see in our mind and the Christian person that we try to make ourselves look like. And if we don't, we are following another Kingdom. Our own built up character is our own Kingdom. There is no other Kingdom in this walk but His! Not only are we fooling others, but mostly, we are fooling ourselves!

The problem with religious folks today is that we try to focus on fixing our character before our heart, and this is where we get in the flesh. Then our heart, which is most important to God, never gets changed. Then we start thinking we are changed, but we are just putting a strong delusion on ourselves, thinking our heart is changed because some of our actions have changed. Though deceiving ourselves because the Word is not being made flesh in us, and we are becoming no better than a kind-hearted atheist. Don’t you notice that the world can do the same things? The world can put on a smile, the world can exercise self-control in some areas, the world can walk in some discipline, and the world can basically almost imitate Jesus if they wanted to, and yet still be false. Aren’t there people now claiming to be Christ, walking in similar character, deceiving many today?

Jesus was flesh, but His real being was spirit. So, we must look like Him in spirit. And the only way we can look like Him on the INSIDE is by the true Word of God which is Spirit. The Words from Heaven are the only words than can change a carnal mind spiritual, in alignment with the Spirit. The Word is the only thing that can make the dead heart, His heart! We need to stop striving, and we need to have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying. Or else we will hear what the devil is saying, and the devil wants to keep making us more religious and prideful by the day. The devil doesn’t just come and say, “Here sin, sin, sin!” No, he comes as an angel of light! He comes presented as the Word of God. He comes presented as the Spirit of God. Though he is not! The only way we can tell the difference is when we jump on the cross, kill our striving for our own perfection and let the Spirit work.

This is how we surrender: By giving up on trying to be a Christian and being yourself as you follow Him, and He changes you and makes you into a real authentic Christian. The problem is we examine our flaws too much. We get tired of them, wanting to give up! And instead of giving up because of our pursuit of Him, we try to be the Christian that we are not, deceiving our own selves. God knows your strengths and weakness. He knows what you can do and can’t do. He knows what you’re feeling. He knows what you’re thinking. He knows your struggles and everything else going on, on the inside! Though He’s not asking you to try and fix all that. All He is asking you to do is OBEY HIM! And as you obey Him, He will deconstruct and reconstruct over time every part of your being. OVER TIME!

We need to trust Him! You’re going to have flaws! Everyone does! He is not mad at that. Obedience is better than sacrifice. You want to know what He gets mad at? Our sacrifice! Our righteousness is nothing but filthy rags! Our own sacrifice is us choosing to do things our own way. Obedience is the best sacrifice you can give to Him. When we obey Him, we start to become like Him naturally. When we obey Him, we start to realize He is leading us the way He’s leading us because we are morphing into His image and likeness. And that’s His goal for our life. To bring us back to who we truly are, not just on the outside, but most of all the inside! Our focus needs to be off ourselves and our neighbor, lest we become prideful or shameful. Our focus needs to be on the heart of the Father and the will of His desire!

God told me this, you clean up my house and I will clean up yours. You do my will and I will fulfill your will to walk in true holiness and righteousness! Take care of Me, and I will take care of you! And let this be your vow today, to set your zeal upon the Lord’s house instead of your own, to worship Him and in Spirit and in Truth instead of false Christian character and religious knowledge. Beloved, it’s time to take on a Kingdom that we know not of and take a match to our kingdom and burn it down!
