FEEDING JESUS

“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:35-40

Anything ye have done unto one of the least of these my brethren! How many know that we are the body of Christ on Earth? And we being Christ on Earth are His hands and feet. As He is in heaven, so are we on Earth! He being the Head, we being His body parts, He and us together making one body. Individuals in the flesh but in the Spirit, one part of one body. Christ the Head and Christ the Body – ONE new man in Christ Jesus! Now what we do to the body, we do to the head because they are one!

People say I want to serve God! But Jesus said to Peter, “Do you love me?” Yes! “Then feed my sheep!” His sheep are His body! Whatsoever we do unto them, His body, we do unto Him. When Jesus was saying that to Peter, He was actually bringing a deeper definition of what it looks like to love Him. Jesus actually receives it as love for Him when we love them! Do you love Me? Feed them! Everybody wants to only fellowship with The Head, but Jesus is saying to us that we are missing His fullness if we do not receive His body! And not only receive His body but feed His body! Clothe His body, give drink to His body. Set His body free from any spiritual prison or afflictions in their souls, healing the sick among the lost but not forgetting to heal the sick amongst His brethren! He said unto the least of these, MY BRETHREN!

Because we believe the lies of once saved always saved, some think we don’t have to worry about His Church, His body, because they are saved no matter what so we just have to focus on the lost. This is what many misled evangelists do: They forsake the church, not knowing that they are forsaking His brethren, and although they are bringing new sheep into the Kingdom, those sheep still have to be tended so that they may not become lost sheep.

There are two types of lost. The lost in the world and the lost sheep in the church. Because there are only a few good shepherds, and hirelings run away when predators come around. Yet we are all called in whatever way God has gifted us to be there for the sheep. If you are a watchman, you are called to watch over the sheep. If you are a shepherd, you are called to lead the sheep. Some are called to watch, some are called to feed, some are called to help, to teach, to heal, to deliver, to support, to build up, to correct, or to exhort, but we all are called to do something for His body! It’s one body now but it’s our body because we have been joined together. Whenever we minister to our brother, we are taking care of our body, we are taking care of Jesus because they are His body parts!

Mavericks are front and center enemies of this scripture because they want it to be all about them and only them and God and them, but they have no room for His body, and He will say to them, “Where were you when I was hungry?” But Lord, I was in your word all the time! Yes, but that which you were given, you never gave! You feed your own self but you denied feeding my body because it’s all about you! The Bible says it is more blessed to give than to receive! Many only want to receive but God is saying He will stop giving if you do not give back and lay all your gifting, anointing, and words at the feet of His body because you are becoming a stagnant well!

You are called to have rivers of living water coming out of your belly but rivers move and you are becoming religious because your river is stagnant! God will stop speaking to us when we don’t speak for Him when we are called to! Many cannot even be trusted with much because they cannot be trusted with little!

God gives them a little word to speak or a prayer or psalm or hymn to speak over the body and some can barely do that, and yet they want to be entrusted with God, with the much, but God is saying if I entrust you with much, you will be destroyed and blood will be on your hands like Ezekiel! There’s a certain level of trust God starts to establish with us where we carry a weightier responsibility. There are words and things God wants us to do and have that are big that will save lives, families, and nations, but He can’t get us there if we can’t obey in the small or else the one time God brings you as a messenger and you can’t get His message out, people perish.

We need to be faithful to the least of these, and the least of these are found at The Fish Gate and The Sheep Gate. Two types of people we minister to are the lost that God leads us to and the Body. The saints, the brethren! We must discern the Lord's body where it is in need! Everyone knows we are supposed to minister to the lost, but in this day, because many hate religion, they are coming out of the church system, but there is still the true BODY of His people out there that are assembling that need each part! So, let’s look at Matthew 25 again knowing that Jesus is talking spiritually about the spirit of a person and His body! The poor you will have with you always but when the poor die will they be enriched with the riches of the kingdom that will let them live forever? You can feed a whole nation, but if they all perish in hell, what is it for if you don’t give them what will let them live forever!

When someone is hungry or thirsty, will you let them be filled? Will you give them the meat of the Word? Will you give them the drink, the rivers of living water coming out of your belly? When someone is a stranger and doesn’t know God yet, will you bring them to salvation and take them into the Kingdom? Naked, will you clothe them with Christ that they would put on Christ and make no provision for the flesh? When they are sick, did you use your gift of healing to heal their bodies, and when they are spiritually sick and in a Jezebel sick bed, did you visit them and bring them back to the Truth that they may be healed? When they were in prison, did you break them out of the prison in their own mind, the ones who are in chains of bondage, the captives, did you set the captives free that are captivated by the spirit of religion and the spirit of the age?

We are called to be deliverers and healers to the world but we cannot forget the apple of His eye, His Church, His bride, His body! Whatever you do unto them, you do unto Him because what you do unto one, you do unto a part of Him because they have been made one with Him. If they are then joined together with Him, they are a part of Him, and if they are a part of Him, they are as husband and wife, one in all things! What you do to them, you do to Him. When you feed them, you are feeding Him! Ministering to the Lord is not just that fellowship with the Head, but in fullness, it’s fellowship with the whole body!

The Bible says we have been baptized into one body! Do you know that we have been baptized into Him but also into each other in the Spirit? The whole body of Christ fitly joined and compacted together! One body! One mind! One spirit! One baptism! In the flesh, we are individuals, but in the Spirit, we are one through one baptism! Him in me and Him in you and us in each other. One! Father, make them one just as you and I are one. That was His prayer. He said I pray not for the world but for those you have given me!

Many are focused on the world, but Jesus is focused on His church, His body, Himself, because when He looks at His body, us, He is looking at every part of His own self. Oh, I love you so much, Jesus! Oh yeah? Then feed my body! Feed my lambs! Do you really love me? Then do not forsake the assembling with the rest of my body! It’s not about the assembling of church members, it’s about the assembling of body parts! We, being many members, but of one body! Do you really love me or do you only love my head because you have only part of me because the rest of me, I have left in all those who love me? Receive from me, but go take care of me for the weak amongst you are the weak parts of my body. When you heal them, you heal my body, because when you fight for the weak among you, you are strengthening His body. You are strengthening Christ on Earth!

My body needs strength, will you provide it? My body needs food, will you provide it? Jesus said to the women at the well, give me drink. But she only was capable of giving him physical drink, but the well inside of Him manifested a well inside of her, and she was able to give drink to her whole city! The Lord is speaking through His body to you, saying give me drink! Now we have the well inside of us, and whatsoever is freely given to us, we shall freely give it to them.

These gifts, these words, the prophecies, these songs, hymns, psalms, dreams, visions, and acts of obedience, they are not for us – they are for them. For the perfection and equipping of the saints. For the provision and raising up of those that He loves! Your gifts, your spiritual talents, they are not for you! They are not for your vainglory but they are for the glory of His Church that the same glory the Father gave to the Son, the Son has also given unto them! Do not be like the man who had only one talent and buried it! Do not say because I am not the eye, I cannot be a part of the body. For the body is not of one part but of many! One part not above the other but all being needed to have the full body.

This is why the Bible says that we would prefer the other over ourselves and think of others’ needs before ours because it’s not ourselves. It’s about feeding His lambs, feeding, growing, furthering the stature of His body until we ALL come unto the unity of the faith and the full stature of Christ unto a perfect man. Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7)! You have called me master but even your master has washed your feet! Whosoever wishes to be great amongst you, let Him be your minister. And whoever wishes to be chief amongst you, let Him be your servant. When we feed His body, we are feeding Jesus! Let him, let her, serve the Body, and in this, whatever they do unto them, His brethren, they do unto Him!
