“Thank you, Father, for the power of the testimony of Jesus Christ! Thank you for the seeds that will spread the testimony of Jesus Christ! Thank you, God, because we are preaching under the blood and the power of the cross. You are the Spirit of Prophecy! And Your Word says, “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy,” that the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 19:10)
Let’s break the bread today, and let’s go deep into Revelation 19:1-10 as our foundation! All the testimonies are not about how much we fast, pray, or read the Bible because of Him, because when He is lifted up, He will draw all men unto Him! When He said to be lifted up, He was talking about Him on the cross. When we preach the cross, we are lifting Him up, and that is the only way to draw all men unto God. Many draw men to Him for what He can do for them, or they draw men to Him just to pick one of the religious systems to follow, but He is God.
It is not about what God did with you or what you did for God that will testify of Jesus. The only thing that carries the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy! “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.” Revelation 19:1-3
The smoke is the prayers of the saints, the words of our testimony. What will steal your incense, your praise, your prayer, and the testimony? It is fear, not the fear of the Lord. You will find out that the voice of many waters (verse 6) means the voice of many tribes and nations. That voice will come out of your belly, out of your belly shall flow living water. Out of the belly of the Church shall flow the Spirit of the Prophecy, which is the testimony of Jesus. Yes, we have a gift for edification – the gift of prophecy. This is a function from Him, but He is the Spirit of prophecy. The Spirit of prophecy must go unto Him and through Him.
There will be a marriage of the Lamb (verse 7). Who is the wife? That is you and me. Those who are dipped in His blood. Those who have the testimony of Jesus and His testimony inside of them. Not prophesying and speaking about what they did; that is the wrong testimony. Sometimes people use God to exalt what they are doing, to exalt themselves. But the only holy testifying is about Him and for Him!
The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (verse 10)! Jesus carried all the prophecies being fulfilled in Himself! His testimony carried the spirit of all the prophecies ever prophesied in the Old Testament! Whatever He testified, we have this same spirit, this same unction, this treasure, this power, this richness! His glory and hope in us.
The testimony of Jesus has nothing to do with: Jesus and me, Jesus and 12 steps, Jesus and medicine, Jesus and my special diet, Jesus and my Ozempic shots, Jesus and my idol, Jesus and my dog, Jesus and my strength. The testimony of Jesus has to do with: I was blind, now I see! I was in bondage, now I am free. I was this way, and He did! I was a sinner, now I am a saint! I was a palm reader, a diviner, and a witch, and now I am changed. My life is now under the spirit of prophecy. Now I speak His Word. I was, and now I am not! I was dead, now I am alive!
The testimony of Jesus talks about Him, not me! I was addicted to drugs, and Jesus met me. I had an encounter. I was washed in His blood. He delivered me, set me free, and now I am addicted to Christ! I was dead, now I am free! I was blind, now I see! What’s your testimony? Is it: I was a prostitute, but I repented and was called out, and Jesus touched me. Now I am holy. He is my first love! I was a fornicator, now I am clean, now I am washed. This is the testimony that we have to stand, to hold, and to proclaim. This becomes the evidence and the Glory unto Him that was and is and is coming again. The Alpha and the Omega. He has no beginning and has no end.
Who the son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). The testimony of Jesus has nothing to do with a “Jesus is healing me” kind of conversation! The testimony of man is the spirit of man. Some people like to mix their spirit with the Spirit of God. When we do something for Him, it must be done by the spirit of prophecy, or you will do it all for your own self. So, the result of it is not the testimony of Jesus! When we do it this way, there is no other way for Him to be lifted up and draw all men unto Him!
Even when you do something for God as the Body of Christ, when we minister together under the corporate oil, you don’t even pay attention to who did what. You forget the man and think about God. You think about the souls, about the harvest! People look at what you did, but what they all see is what God did, how God healed, and how God saved men! You forget that men who were partakers of God and just see Jesus because the works done by the hand of His bride carry the testimony of Jesus and not the testimony of herself!
Many people are trying to become influencers, and they draw men unto themselves. They have not found themselves yet! So, when you testify of yourself, you give a testimony of yourself and add Jesus in it, this is not a Spirit of prophecy but divination and self-proclamation! You still do things because you feel rejected; you are not connected; your old man has been resurrected because you did not pick up your cross! This is why Paul said, I die daily, I have died a thousand deaths (1 Corinthians 15:31). To die is to live, to lose is to gain (Philippians 1:21). Today, we made it all about man. Now, is this working for you? There is a coming season when it is all or nothing. We are in preparation, teaching us to keep this Holy proclamation, the testimony of Jesus, not what we did but what He did for us and others!
Even when we do not honor the Body of Christ that has suffered, prayed, and covered us when we went through our own trials, we are not giving the head or His Body the proper testimony! That shows major self-centeredness, and it manifests pride. It manifests a Jezebel spirit, narcissism, and the spirit of self! We end up testifying of ourselves when we never tell everyone we meet who we used to be and what He did for us. This is not actually a testimony! This is not the Spirit of prophecy. Imagine a prostitute who won’t tell anybody what they used to be and do because they are more worried about what people think about them, and they won’t testify of what Jesus did for them! Indirectly, they just testify to themselves, diverting the message of the cross that set them free! This is a hard thing to continue, but put it back into practice. It will defeat the devil. God will move for us!
When I go to jail and give my testimony, where does the power come from? I was arrested 47 times, but Jesus changed me and set me free! This gives Glory to Jesus! They can see with their own eyes the testimony of Jesus, what Jesus did! You don’t have to prove you are changed to anybody; let His testimony in you do the job! They will see. Sometimes we try to testify of the spirit of prophecy, and we are expecting results, but there is too much of you in it! It is all over social media. Power comes from the testimony of Jesus coming out of our belly and life! It is not about being a better you and promoting yourself! The testimony of Jesus backs us up! When we begin to boast in ourselves, that becomes the testimony of our faith, our works, and our obedience, and not of Christ! Abraham never testified of his own faith; Paul never did about his own as well! Paul testified of Abraham's faith! Abraham knew better because he created Ishmael, but other people after that saw his faith! It is okay for others to testify about what you do, but never boast about your works! Boast in your weakness; lift Christ, not yourself.
Let’s think about the generals of faith in Hebrews 11. Imagine if you had gone to the general of faith and said, “Abraham, you are a general of faith!” He would look at you and say, “Are you out of your mind? You don’t even know how much I must fight the good fight of faith!” So, you keep fighting the fight of faith and let others boast on your faith! Some people say, “God gave me a word, and I stood in faith!” Oh, give me a break. I saw your story. I saw your struggle the next day! Your testimony is stained! You are boasting in your faith! Boast in the faith of Him and your testimony of Him, and you will have credit because the Spirit of prophecy will back you up because it is Him!
How can fear manifest when we have an author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)? He spoke, and it was! Nothing can be mixed with you! It has to do 100% with the spirit of prophecy. This has nothing to do with the gift of prophecy! The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. Don’t get it twisted! Because if you do this mixture, you will see the birth of a false prophet and a false prophetic voice! He does not share the throne with anybody. He gives you the invitation to be seated with Him and in Him, but He will never give you His throne!
Nobody can bring any increase to their own selves (1 Corinthians 3:6-8). If there is a real testimony of Jesus, there is no room for super-Christians out there because it is all about Him! Many of the works were done in the name of Jesus, but not by the spirit of prophecy! Instead of taking pride in our achievements, we find strength in acknowledging our weaknesses. Who am I? You think, of course: “He is by my side, I pray, I fast, I read the bible more than anybody…” No, He is far away from you! What we do in Him is the testimony of Him; all works outside of Him will not stand. It will be tried by fire!
If you are still trying to cover your own self and still use the Word of God to explain what you are still going through, no, that is not you testifying of Jesus. You become a double agent! You are in the world, and you are in the Kingdom! When you even have two different social media pages, it means you are ashamed of the testimony of Jesus. Take His testimony everywhere with you! Stop trying to save your name or your reputation. The prophet said to David, “That man is you!” (2 Samuel 12:7) So many people try to save their own life that they get lost! He is fire. You are cold. When you mix Him with you, you become lukewarm! He will spit you out! Paul always boasted about his weakness (2 Corinthians 12:5-11). He was the pharisee of all pharisees, and he left all behind. And told us, if you preach any other gospel, let this one be accursed (Galatians 1:8)! None of us has arrived, but this is the road!
Because of the spirit of prophecy testifying of Jesus, we end up knowing and doing all things together! Paul said to follow me as I follow Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1). He was not saying to follow me as a man, but to follow me because He is sending me first. Just like a sheep following a shepherd. The forerunner goes ahead, and the shepherd makes sure the sheep are following the forerunner. The forerunner can never go back! The shepherd is the one who has to! We all follow, but not even those who plant and those who water are anything! It is God who brings the increase!
Stop asking all of these questions; be led by the Word and the Spirit. You have to know by the Spirit, or you can never be led by the Spirit! He covers us when we humble ourselves. If you want to glorify yourself, you will be a fool (verse 6). It does not matter your abundance of revelation, and of whatever, God will humble you! “My grace, My strength is sufficient” (verse 9)! Not yours but His! But you can’t confess. If it were not for the Body of Christ seeing it, you would have hidden your weakness and your infirmities for much longer! You said, “God told me this and that, and we stood in faith,” but where is the honor towards God and His people? If a word comes only from me, there is no spirit of prophecy. Condemnation only shows up when we are not just before God!
Do you want to live under the law? This is what happened: Look at me; look at what we did and do! This is not the testimony of Jesus. This is religion and false humility! Paul boasted in his infirmities, in his reproaches, in his necessities, and in his persecutions (verse 10) because he knew His power was being perfected. Our confession must be: “God, I can do nothing without you!”… “Though I be nothing…” verse 11! Look what God has done in my life, but I am still nothing. Don’t let what God is doing get to your head and heart! People are full of testimonies all about them! What defiles a man is not what you eat (Matthew 15:11)! What goes into the stomach and out into the sewer matters nothing, but what comes out of the heart!
“If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.” John 5:31-32
He was saying, “My father testifies of Me, speaks of Me.” Jesus was speaking as a man. He took no recognition. He came as a servant, but when He preached and spoke, He was under the spirit of prophecy; as a man, He counted on the Father to testify of Him! Now, we don’t testify of Christ as a man, but of Christ as the Lamb of God after the bloodshed; now we testify of Jesus after the blood spilt, as the Lamb who was slain! Now, when I testify of Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit will testify of me as well. If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true, just as would have happened to Jesus as well.
How are you going to continue on the narrow way without the testifying of Jesus? The devil will be winning in your life! I warn you and tell you, this gives no hope to those who have not been saved! We need only to let others boast on our faith! We need to let others acknowledge our works. We need to let others recognize us!
In 2 Corinthians 9:2-3, we see Paul boasting of others! Do you see the difference?
When we do not honor the words of prophecy from the body, we dishonor Christ because of this treasure in earthly vessels (2 Corinthians 4:7)! How are you going to boast on others if all you do is boast on your faith! Imagine when everybody becomes humbler, when humbleness is all in common in the Body! That is why we need to die and lose this life! Lose the spirit of self! Because this is the spirit of anti-Christ! Everybody with this spirit will be deceived in the end! We need to go back to the first works of the first love and always testify of Jesus! That’s how we stay safe and oily!
We preach not ourselves (2 Corinthians 4:5-7), but Christ Jesus! Prideful people can’t ever pull out of you the testimony of Jesus because they think they really don’t need it! He is coming, and people have to hear the Gospel; we can’t play on the narrow way! We need to stay on that path! Of course, it is not easy! Who can bear this word (John 6)? “There will be a remnant and many dip in My blood, eating my flesh, are you going to do it?” says God!
It’s impossible to be an influencer and carry the spirit of prophecy! The spirit prophecy is looking to set you apart and to give Glory to Jesus! Influencer spirit is looking for clicks, likes, views, notoriety, and fame! Jesus’ fame went out everywhere because of the spirit of prophecy and the testimony of Him, what He said, what He did, and what was already written! These other spirits are self-seeking, motivational, charismatic, soulish, emotional, and second heaven witchcraft! Anti-Christ, no cross! Anti-cross! You can’t testify of Him when you no longer pick up your cross because your testimony has so much of you! The same people who share during their testimony give 10% Glory to Him and add themselves 90% during the testimony! This is how we became lukewarm: we, ice-cold, mixing with God, who is fire = lukewarmness! Words of man can be used out of context and can be mixed with the Word of God, but the Word of Christ is direct and very clear! People are filled with vain ambition, which is covetousness and iniquity. His Word will get us to wring out sin in our hearts, but when we have itching ears, nothing comes out of your heart but you!
One type of testimony sets you apart! The other type sets its eyes on you! Do you know the fruit of self-centeredness and pride? Murmuring and complaining are the fruits of self-centeredness! “O God, you took us here to die!” Read the story in Exodus 16. God gave them manna, then later even gave them meat. It was not about provision for them; it was about “I want more!” Here are other fruits: fear, jealousy, and envy! You are still identifying yourself with the old man when you seek attention, affirmation, self-exaltation, and are always needing help. We live as victims and not overcomers by His blood because we carry not the testimony of Jesus.
Do you know what the opposite is? LOVE! Who is God? The Word says God is love. What are these fruits? Let’s see what love looks like. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13 that love is long-suffering! How long can you suffer before you complain about others? Maybe not physical suffering! Sometimes you suffer because of others, like for only one minute, and you are already complaining. Love is kind. Not envious or covetous. Not out for its own gain. It does not display its own accomplishments or its own talents. It does not seek its own, but another’s. It bears all things. It hopes all things. It endures all things. It is not puffed up. That is just a few examples. This is what we should look like! Love looks like the cross. Love removes the “I”; you will barely even use it in your speech or in your writings. Removes the “I” and exchanges it for Him or them or us and we! People can’t exalt others because they are too busy exalting themselves, too worried about saving their lives, and they never find the true life in Christ.
Freedom is at the cross, but the devil makes you think you have to find it, that you have to make it happen. When self is not on the cross, you are selfish, and that is the opposite of a giver! You can’t give love. You can’t pay attention to another. You can’t see another, only your own. You can’t heal others because you're always in need of healing. If you help someone, you want retribution, money, accolades, attention, honor, or glory. You do all things for gain, but the Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:6, “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” So, I should say that godliness is love! Paul said that without love, it profits nothing! All the stuff we do without love is nothing! It is not the spirit of prophecy but your own demise, producing divination and diversion, and without God, it does not matter how good you think you are; without God, even your sacrifice profits nothing WITHOUT LOVE according to the scriptures!
To all the influencers out there: What is your influence? And what are you influencing unto? If it’s not Christ and the church and the cross, it’s anti-Christ. When you bring glory to your own self, you are ashamed of the testimony of Jesus (2 Timothy 1:8-9).
The Word says in Revelation 12:10-11 that we overcame! We overcame the devil and the world by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of the testimony of Jesus, and also talks about a people who love not their lives. You cannot love your life and pick up the cross. You cannot love your life and love Him. When the time comes, we will make it if we can crucify our flesh now! Leave all things behind, leave yourself behind. It is not my power, it is His; this is the cross. It is not my testimony, but His. Thank you, Father, for this Word. Thank you for the Spirit of Prophecy. How can anybody follow this Word? “This is a hard word,” some said to Jesus in John 6:60! So many walked away, but others say, “I will go nowhere; only you have the Words of life!”
Every time I want to give up, every time I want to quit, every time I don’t want to pick up my cross and don’t want to listen to Him, I hear, “Will you leave Me as well?” I know Him; it does not matter what the devil tells me. I said, “WHERE WILL I GO? YOU HAVE THE WORDS OF LIFE.” There is nowhere to go. It is either HIM or ME!
The Spirit of prophecy always brings testimony of the Spirit of life! That is the testimony my old man and life carry. That is why it is so powerful when we pick up our cross, but when we try to keep our own life, we will try to keep our own testimony! You are still living for you, but you are powerless! But only when you carry the testimony of Jesus in your veins can you overcome anything! And this Church, His Church, carries His Spirit, the Spirit of prophecy which is the testimony of Jesus!
“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelation 12:10-11
